Unity is a non-denominational, God-centered church, founded near the end of the 19th century by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore in Kansas City, Missouri. It is the largest of several New Thought churches founded about that time. Here at Unity of Greater Cleveland we lead God-centered lives, awakening to the Christ nature within ourselves and recognizing this same nature in all others.
We invite you to be a part of either 9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. services on Sunday morning for warm, heartfelt prayer, song, meditations, and lessons taught by Reverend Joan M. Gattuso. [Click Here] to listen to a Sunday lesson.
Rev. Joan is our founding minister and the internationally acclaimed author of A Course in Love, A Course in Life, and the soon-to-be-released The Lotus Still Blooms. Her inspiring books, which sell worldwide, have been translated into twelve languages.
Unity of Greater Cleveland is visited by many guest speakers, including Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, Robert Thurman, Jean Houston, John Maxwell Taylor, James Twyman, to mention a few.
We invite you to attend our life-changing church and decide if it is right for you.

If you ask our active congregants what holds our church together, they will most likely tell you, "The people."
If you think of our church as a physical structure, our Practitioners are certainly its support beams. They provide stability and spiritual "lift," they "beam" with the Christ light, and they offer continuous support
Unity Practitioners form an "on-call," ever-present prayer team that continually assists Rev. Joan in serving Unity congregants and the extended Unity family. They read the Daily Word at both Sunday services and are available after each service for prayer support. They meet once a month and provide prayer support in numerous ways to countless members of the Unity family.
Our Practitioners provide a variety of services centered around prayer:
~ Read the Daily Word at every service.
~ Assist Rev. Joan in fulfilling Unity's mission.
~ Lead the World Day of Prayer.
They also assist by:
~ Serving in different roles during the Sunday service.
~ Occasionally giving the lesson in Rev. Joan's absence.
~ Making hospital visits.
~ Making "Wellness Calls."
You are their focus, as they respond to all prayer requests:
~ Every second Sunday of the month is Healing Sunday, in which they through prayer, hold the consciousness of healing.
Practitioners focus healing energy on each one of us.
~ They offer one-on-one prayer sessions, either in person (after each Sunday service) or over the phone. ~ They answer prayer requests that come from every avenue - the prayer box, phone calls to the church, etc.
In summation, our Practitioners:
Represent Unity teachings in action! Every day they pray for congregants who have requested their prayer support. It is in giving that we receive. Just as we are blessed by our Practitioners' prayers, so too are they blessed by serving in this role.
Here's how one Practitioner saw their function: "There is a power and joy in sharing your prayers, a power that creates intimacy, strength and a bond between those praying."
